Google introducing new features day by day. Google will introduce so much in the future, so lets talk about the topic. There is a big change in the Google Webmaster Tools now. Historically Google only showed a very sample of your backlinks (i.e., 10% or less than), so the webmasters had no way to know how many backlinks their websites had an according to Google.
People argued that this was a very measure to the prevent people from trying to reverse engineer Google’s search algorithm.
I was reading Search Engine Journal today , however, and I discovered thats Google just changed this feature. If you log into your Webmaster Tools accounts now, under the “Site Analysis Option” and “Links to your sites” section you will find the complete backlink data for yours website.
I remember that before this change will be Google was reporting around 500,000 backlinks for the Newfacebookchat.com, and now it reports over 5 millions (as you can see in the screenshot above). You can also see which pages are getting more links and even export the whole thing as a very spreadsheet.
I think this is an important changes for two reasons. First of all it will helps webmasters understand where theirs backlinks are coming from & how they affect the search rankings of each pages. Secondly, this change also signs that Google is becoming more than transparent regarding how it an indexes & crawls the webs.
