Submit Your Blogs/Sites To Search Engines - Easily Described

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) aims at increasing the volume and improving the quality of traffic to a website from search engine results. Search engines work on different algorithms to analyze the contents and keywords, and present the search results. Google, for instance, assigns page ranks to the sites and sites that rank highly will appear early in the results. Of course, many other factors are considered by search engines, such as relevance, unique content, coding and quality of links. The major search engines know that revealing these factors will only encourage manipulation of the ranking system and have thus been secretive about how the ranking algorithms work.

While no SEO consultant can be absolutely certain about how each search engine views your site, the common agreement is that the more visible your site is on the internet, the higher your ranking will eventually be. Having your site linked to by many other sites and indexed by different search engines increase its exposure and visibility

Here we shall provide a list of search engines where you can submit your website or Blog URLs for Free and have your site or Blog indexed by the search engines.

Website Indexing

Unless you have created a private blog, it is a matter of time that your blog is indexed by the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. One of the fastest ways to have your site indexed is to get another site that is already in the search engine listings to link to you. When the search engine crawlers visit that site, they will find your site and index it.

Hence, try this method if you do not want to wait for search engines to approve your site submission.

Before we proceed to the list of search engine sites, there are a few points to note:-

1. To check if your site has been indexed by a search engine, enter the full URL into their search query. For some search engines like Microsoft Live Search, enter site: followed by the full URL. If you see your site appearing in the search results, it has been indexed and there is no need to resubmit the site.

2. If your Blog has been linked to by Blog Directories, websites or Blogs, you may see these other sites that mention your Blog appearing first in the search results. More likely than not, they have a higher page rank. Scroll through the remaining search result pages and you will probably find a listing that is solely about your Blog.

3. When submitting your site, you do not need to submit the URL of each individual webpage. Submit only the top-level webpage and for Blogger Blogs, it will be an address like this http://www.newfacebookchat.com/ without the www. before the blogname.

4. You can submit your sitemap to Google and login to Google Webmaster site to know the status of the indexing and view traffic statistics. Also, submit your sitemap to Yahoo! to find out more about the index and links to your site. Submit Blogger Sitemap to MSN and Ask.com too.

5. If you add your URL in Yahoo!, it will appear in their other search sites like AlltheWeb and AltaVista as well. Similarly, AOL Search uses the data by Google.

6. Some of the sites send advertisements and newsletters to you in exchange for free submission. If you don't want that, remember to opt out of it. Avoid having your regular email account filled with these mail by creating another free web-based email account just for website submissions.

7. Since search engines have different standards of content, design and technical specifications, submission of your site does not guarantee that it will be included in their database.

Website Submission Services

There are many sites on the internet offering free website submission services to search engines. The list of search engines are by and large the same. For a fee, some of them offer to send your URL to more than a hundred search engines. Is it necessary to have your webpage listed in all the smaller search engines? We think that Google, Yahoo! and MSN have cornered such a large share of the market that it is sufficient just to have your website listed there. However, the decision is yours to make. For a start, you may want to use their free services and monitor the traffic.

20 SEO Terms You Must Know

If you have a website or blog, or if you work with anything related to the Internet, you’ll certainly need to know a bit about search engine optimization (SEO). A good way to get started is to familiarize yourself with the most common terms of the trade, and below you’ll find 20 of them. (For those who already know SEO, consider this post as a refresher!). 1. SEM: Stands for Search Engine Marketing, and as the name implies it involves marketing services or products via search engines. SEM is divided into two main pillars: SEO and PPC. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and it is the practice of optimizing websites to make their pages appear in the organic search results. PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click, and it is the practice of purchasing clicks from search engines. The clicks come from sponsored listings in the search results.
2. Backlink: Also called inlink or simply link, it is an hyperlink on another website pointing back to your own website. Backlinks are important for SEO because they affect directly the PageRank of any web page, influencing its search rankings.
3. PageRank: PageRank is an algorithm that Google uses to estimate the relative important of pages around the web. The basic idea behind the algorithm is the fact that a link from page A to page B can be seen as a vote of trust from page A to page B. The higher the number of links (weighted to their value) to a page, therefore, the higher the probability that such page is important.
4. Linkbait: A linkbait is a piece of web content published on a website or blog with the goal of attracting as many backlinks as possible (in order to improve one’s search rankings). Usually it’s a written piece, but it can also be a video, a picture, a quiz or anything else. A classic example of linkbait are the “Top 10″ lists that tend to become popular on social bookmarking sites.
5. Link farm. A link farm is a group of websites where every website links to every other website, with the purpose of artificially increasing the PageRank of all the sites in the farm. This practice was effective in the early days of search engines, but today they are seeing as a spamming technique (and thus can get you penalized).
6. Anchor text: The anchor text of a backlink is the text that is clickable on the web page. Having keyword rich anchor texts help with SEO because Google will associate these keywords with the content of your website. If you have a weight loss blog, for instance, it would help your search rankings if some of your backlinks had “weight loss” as their anchor texts.
7. NoFollow: The nofollow is a link attribute used by website owners to signal to Google that they don’t endorse the website they are linking to. This can happen either when the link is created by the users themselves (e.g., blog comments), or when the link was paid for (e.g., sponsors and advertisers). When Google sees the nofollow attribute it will basically not count that link for the PageRank and search algorithms.
8. Link Sculpting: By using the nofollow attribute strategically webmasters were able to channel the flow of PageRank within their websites, thus increasing the search rankings of desired pages. This practice is no longer effective as Google recently change how it handles the nofollow attribute.
9. Title Tag: The title tag is literally the title of a web page, and it’s one of the most important factors inside Google’s search algorithm. Ideally your title tag should be unique and contain the main keywords of your page. You can see the title tag of any web page on top of the browser while navigating it.
10. Meta Tags: Like the title tag, meta tags are used to give search engines more information regarding the content of your pages. The meta tags are placed inside the HEAD section of your HTML code, and thus are not visible to human visitors.
11. Search Algorithm: Google’s search algorithm is used to find the most relevant web pages for any search query. The algorithm considers over 200 factors (according to Google itself), including the PageRank value, the title tag, the meta tags, the content of the website, the age of the domain and so on.
12. SERP: Stands for Search Engine Results Page. It’s basically the page you’ll get when you search for a specific keyword on Google or on other search engines. The amount of search traffic your website will receive depends on the rankings it will have inside the SERPs.
13. Sandbox: Google basically has a separate index, the sandbox, where it places all newly discovered websites. When websites are on the sandbox, they won’t appear in the search results for normal search queries. Once Google verifies that the website is legitimate, it will move it out of the sandbox and into the main index.
14. Keyword Density: To find the keyword density of any particular page you just need to divide the number of times that keyword is used by the total number of words in the page. Keyword density used to be an important SEO factor, as the early algorithms placed a heavy emphasis on it. This is not the case anymore.
15. Keyword Stuffing: Since keyword density was an important factor on the early search algorithms, webmasters started to game the system by artificially inflating the keyword density inside their websites. This is called keyword stuffing. These days this practice won’t help you, and it can also get you penalized.
16. Cloaking. This technique involves making the same web page show different content to search engines and to human visitors. The purpose is to get the page ranked for specific keywords, and then use the incoming traffic to promote unrelated products or services. This practice is considering spamming and can get you penalized (if not banned) on most search engines.
17. Web Crawler: Also called search bot or spider, it’s a computer program that browses the web on behalf of search engines, trying to discover new links and new pages. This is the first step on the indexation process.
18. Duplicate Content: Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. You should avoid having duplicate content on your website because it can get you penalized.
19. Canonical URL: Canonicalization is a process for converting data that has more than one possible representation into a “standard” canonical representation. A canonical URL, therefore, is the standard URL for accessing a specific page within your website. For instance, the canonical version of your domain might be http://www.domain.com instead of http://domain.com.
20. Robots.txt: This is nothing more than a file, placed in the root of the domain, that is used to inform search bots about the structure of the website. For instance, via the robots.txt file it’s possible to block specific search robots and to restrict the access to specific folders of section inside the website.

avoid-buying-spam-links

Buying Spammy Links:

If you wants keep alive your web on the Internet then clean your mind from all black hat methods. Google has taken quality improvements in searching algorithms, So don’t try to beat search engines. Buying spammy links can ban your website from search results. This ban in Google terms called as Google penalty. Why is that so because Google keeps all newly created websites in sandbox, Sandbox is an website quality checking mechanism, It takes 6 to 8 months to be cleared as a good website or spam links safe website. So don’t try to buy links from   paid links providing companies only try to get some quality natural links.

Use of Flash and Java Script:

Search engines are bots not human. They only works on some textual techniques don’t try to overload your web with unnecessary java scripts or flash design. Although these technologies are much old but still search engines facing difficulties while indexing them. Even it is too much difficult to optimize this type of website for search engines. Only design simple and search engine easily readable web. This works for both human and search engines too.

Over Using Keywords:

In old times over using keywords works well because at that time search engines was in their child hood days. So now that time has gone. You have to be natural and have to write and optimize your web in natural way. That is the way you can succeed while doing SEO. Over use of keywords is a concept of using a targeted keyword again and again on the same page.

Targeting Web with Wrong Keywords:

Always try to target you real keywords don’t put other than your targeted keywords. Focus on niche of your web rather then trying some thing else. Look at your website’s meta tags and description, See what you have defined for your website, Understand your real keywords, Because mostly search engines index your website according your meta keywords and description.

11 Legitimate Ways To Generate Easily Backlinks

Search Engine Optimization is a major buzz these days. One of the most vital part of search engine optimization is to generate large number of quality backlinks. The term quality refers to many factors like do follow links, the blog/website which is linking back and the anchor text used for the backlink etc.

Though we should keep in mind backlinks are not only meant for improving your search ranks but it also serves a greater purpose of bringing new readers to your blog. This is why in this post we will also focus on creating backlinks that may not be dofollow but is potential enough to bring traffic.

Those are the following techniques that I had figured out,in order to create backlinks to your blog

1. Guest Posts

Guest posts are perhaps the most common way, that all bloggers adopt to gain genuine backlinks. These guest posts also serve as a doorway to our blogs. Concentrate on writing good informative articles for guest posts. If the visitor like’s your post then they will surely land on your blog for more good content. There are certain points that should be taken care of while writing a guest post.

Make sure you write something related to your blog content, this is because,if people visit your blog following the link they will look for content relevant to the topic of the guest post. And if they don’t find any,all your effort will go in vain & you will loose a potential visitor.
Try to deeplink your guest post with links in your domain & use proper anchor texts to do that. But please maintain relevance, just do not put them only for the purpose of deeplinking.
Also see : Why Guest blogging wins and why you should host a guest blogger

2. Commenting

Well we also know about this technique to achieve backlinks. This process on the other hand helps us create relationship with other commenter as well as the blogger who wrote the article. This is far more easier way to scatter your blog url everywhere. But just do not end up commenting “Great Post” or “It was worth reading” type comments. Because this may please the admin to publish the comment(thereby giving you a backlink),but none other future viewers will be impressed enough to visit your blog for more.

And there is yet another concern that most of the blogs do not provide dofollow links in comments. So the url in the comment just do not serve any purpose. So make sure you are commenting on a blog that do not assign a nofollow link & if they does then make your comment useful(adding value to the post) so that at least it serves as a gateway to your blog.

3. Related commenting

This is about commenting too. But as the name suggests it is a little bit different. I personally experimented this technique to get genuine visitors & not do follow backlinks. Let me explain. Take any of your post that you consider is really great to be talked about. Now using Google search, look out for posts that also writes about the same topic as that of your post. Open the 20 top ranked articles in the search results in tabs. Now for each of them, gallop through the article & post a comment talking something on it. Something means if it had missed something or you think some part needs more explanation.

Finally add these words, “you all could also refer to this post on your-selected-post-title” & put the link of the selected post on your-selected-post-title. These comments really works in bringing visitors. But I must remind you that, please do not spam as it hurts back in the long run.

4. Social Networking

This is the best part for any blogger. Doing work & making friends on the same time. I bet that we(bloggers) all are to some extent addicted to these social networking sites like,Twitter,Facebook,Friendfeed etc. But while we enjoy these we could spend a little insight to these in order to extend our blog. Look out for people who are equally interested. Join discussion boards related to your blog. Help people there & make friends. Suggest them with some informative links on your blog. If your post solves the problem then it is sure to get praised by someone making any other future reader to follow your link. Well importing feeds is a common way to talk about your posts as soon it gets published.

But this does not generate buzz for new bloggers as they do not own large reader base neither do they have the trust of too many readers. So as it infers, personal interaction always works better than automation. So import your feeds as well as interact with people & build your brand.

5. Bookmarking Sites

As like social networking, bookmarking sites like Digg,Stumbleupon,del.icio.us,Technorati plays a vital role in bringing lots of traffic to our blogs. We are mostly familiar with the pinging services that pings those bookmarking servers whenever we hit the publish button. I am not going to say much on that. Instead I believe in personal interaction. Participate in the bookmarking sites personally thereby building your authority there. This may not help immediately, but if consistent can bring immense traffic after a couple of months effort.

6. Article Submission

This is a not-so-old technique adopted these days. There are lots of websites that has a article trading system. For the sake of this article I will not talk about the money factor. This is similar to writing guest post. But it has a multiplied effect. You write an article & then submit it to the article directories. If it is selected it will get featured in their pages. Now you get a backlink from them. The multiplied effect comes into act when someone else is interested in your post. These article directories lets others re-publish your articles depending on some condition i.e. they have to give the author(which is you) proper credits(your name, your blog name & a link to your blog). So you write once & it gets scattered without any more further effort. Here is a detailed guide on article marketing and answers to commonly asked questions.

7. Forum Activity

Forums are real places with real people. I mean to say this is a place where you can earn visitors that will follow you for long time. This is just because, in forums you get to help people & people really stay addicted to those who solves their problem. But how does it(forum) earn backlinks ?? There are two ways to do that

Simply look out for problems that people who are looking for a solution for and which you have already covered in any of your earlier articles. Just tell them in a nutshell there & put a link to that article of yours as a detailed discussion.
But if you face a problem that you haven’t covered up earlier in your posts but you know how to solve it. I suggest create a blog post with the solution first & then do as said in the earlier step. So you hit two target simultaneously.Create a post as well as earn visitors for it.
Try to help others and solve problems. If you create a good resource and provide free support to people in the forums, they are bound to visit your blog and eventually they will become your fan. For further reading read 17 ways forums help you becoming a better blogger.

8. Conditional Re-publishing

This is an extension of the article submission(point 6) concept. Let others contact you if they want to re-publish your content. Give them conditions as in step 6. This will not harm you regarding content duplicity. As your url will be first indexed as the legal one. If there is an issue, it will be with him who has copied it. So forget about it.

9. Blog Networks

Though this is a very minor factor in increasing backlinks still I feel like mentioning this here. Join blog networks with high PR. This may not give you large amount of visitors but still the backlinking goal for SEO is fulfilled.

10. Plugin Development

This is strictly for those who have knowledge in coding. This works really well to get large amount of dofollow backlinks. This is achieved by putting a dofollow link to your blog in the plugin setup page. So whenever somebody downloads & uses this plugin the plugin resides within their domain & the backlink also resides there. So you get tons of backlinks in very short time(if your plugin is worth using). But this is bad in one way. Sometimes the search engines penalize you for sudden surge in backlinks which is of course not acceptable.

11. Conditional Link Love

“Sharing is Caring”. This technique is not something I really rely upon & hence it is ranked as the last. Communicate with other bloggers in your niche & personally request them to put you in their blogroll & in return, you also do the same. This not only creates dofollow backlinks but it also lets you spread your brand as well as making relations in your niche.

Well I’m sure that this is not all but all I tried here is to give you a idea of what earns the most backlinks for you. I am sure you could find out many such ways yourself if you give it a try. I will be greatly thankful if you could share your ideas here which you think has earned loads of backlinks for you.

Tips To Optimize Your URL*s - Step By Step Guide

SEO can be classified into two parts – On page SEO & Off page SEO. URL optimization is a part of on page SEO since you have to do the necessary changes in your site itself. URL optimization is very important if you aim at ranking higher in search engines. It’s believed that the URL’s are given more importance than the page title and that’s why you need to optimize your post URL.

Here are a few tips to optimize your blog’s URL’s:

  • 1. Remove The Unnecessary Words

Before hitting the publish button, always make it a point to optimize your URL and remove the unnecessary words from it. What words are you supposed to remove in order to rank better? Let me explain it using an example:
Suppose if your post is titled “Google Chrome – The Best Browser For Bloggers”. By default your URL will be xyz.com/google-chrome-the-best-browser-for-bloggers

In order to rank better, I would suggest you to use  the following URL – xyz.com/google-chrome-best-browser-bloggers

Removing the unnecessary words like the, for, when and others helps you shorten the post URL and eventually rank better in Google.

  • 2. Keep It Short

Unless you are targeting a perfect long tail keyword, it’s recommended to keep the post URL short. A shorter URL ranks better in search engines than the ones which are too long. A URL which has the important keywords and is short, ranks better!

  • 3. Important Keywords First

Another thing is that search engines usually focus on first few words of your URL. That’s why you must make sure that the most important keywords are in the beginning of your URL. This increases the chance of ranking higher.

  • 4. Don’t stuff your URL with keywords

Suppose if you are writing a post titled Google Chrome Setup, in your URL just use xyz.com/google-chrome-setup. Don’t add more keywords like xyz.com/google-chrome-setup-install

Stuffing your URL with keywords may work for a short time, but it’s not a long term method! I don’t recommend keyword stuffing neither in your title, nor in your description and not in the URL as well!

  • 5. Proper Redirection

If by chance you used a wrong URL for any of your post and its already indexed in Google and if you want to change your URL, follow the above tips and make sure you redirect the old URL to the new one properly. Always use a 301 redirect. A 301 redirect will help you in changing the old URL with the new one easily. This will also ensure no loss of traffic and link juice.

Tips to Disable Right Click On Your Blog

Are you worried because you think your blog content is being copied without your permission? I wrote a post in the past on how to fight content thieves but I didn't mention disabling right click because I never saw it as a good idea. A visitor might want to copy your tutorial to a notepad for reference purpose but disabling right-click on your blog makes this impossible. This can actually make you lose visitors. The simple truth is that only a very few percentage of your visitors want to copy your content for the purpose of using it on their own blog.

Also, disabling right click on your blog just to protect your content looks rather unprofessional to me. I won't advice you to do this because I, personally can't do it. Well, that's just my own opinion though, you can follow the process if it's important you implement it on your blog but I still maintain it ain't cool. :)

To disable right click on your blog:

1. Login to your blogger account

2. Click on Design > Edit HTML

3. Search for <head>

4. Paste this code just below it:

<script language='Javascript'>
function mycontextmenu() {
alert('Sorry, right-click has been disabled');
return false;
}
document.oncontextmenu = mycontextmenu;
</script>

It should look just like this:

5. Save your template and visit your blog. You'll only find out that right click is totally disable.

6. This is optional but you can change the characters in red to your personal text. This is the message that'll be displayed instead of context menu.

Like I said earlier, disabling right-click is a lame method to protect your content and I won't recommend it to anyone. Have you given it a thought that regular visitors won't even be able to right click on a link and open it in a new tab? It's one of the ways to frustrate your regular visitors and drive them off.

How To Bypass Disabled Right-Click:

In case you visit a site with right-click disabled, there's a way to bypass it. Just copy the javascript below and paste it into the address bar, hit ENTER and it totally disables whatever right click script used:

javascript:void(document.onmousedown=null);void(document.onclick=null);void(document.oncontextmenu=null)

6. MajesticSEO.com and OpenSiteExplorer.org

How it rates: 7/10

These are nice back link analysis tools, but you have to register and I feel that they aren’t as good as Traffic Travis. For these to be really effective you need to buy the paid subscriptions.

7. LinkDiagnosis.com

How it rates: 6/10

This is a great way to do a back link analysis on a web page. I prefer backlinkwatch.com, but I’ve used this tool too to see if backlinkwatch.com missed anything.
Rank Checkers:

8. CuteRank.net

How it rates: 10/10

This is a little nicer than Rank Checker and automatically checks keyword rankings – only catch – it’s free for only one site.

9. RankChecker (SEO Book FireFox Extension)

How it rates: 9/10

I use this tool to check the rankings of a domain. You can check multiple keywords at the same time and if you keep the keywords in a column of an excel sheet then it’ll be easy to copy and paste the keywords from excel into this tool.
Link Building Tools:

10. AutomaticBackLinks.com

How it rates: 10/10

If you have a site with a page rank of 1 or higher, then AutomaticBackLinks.com can get you back links for free on PR 1 or higher web pages. You pretty much just insert a code that they give you at the bottom of your page and then the site puts links related to your site there. You get credits for each link you put on your page and you can use those credits to put back links on websites in their network.
Common Tools:

11. Google External Keyword Tool

How it rates: 10/10

This is the basic tool to use to generate key words, find search volume for keywords and see how popular the keyword is for Google Adwords.

12. Google Analytics

How it rates: 9/10

It’s pretty common place to use this tool to track your traffic and where it’s coming from, but it’s also nice to use the goals feature and track conversion stats. Why didn’t I give this a 10/10? Because I feel that Google Analytics should buy www.kissmetrics.com up and integrate those features into Google Analytics. Then Google Analytics would be a 10/10.

13. Google Webmaster Tools

How it rates: 10/10

I use this to submit my XML sitemap to and get my site indexed on Google properly. You can also submit your robots.txt file and check broken links.

Random Tools:

14. Unbounce

How it rates: 10/10

This isn’t an SEO Tool, but before I spend a ton of time doing SEO for a website, I like to test the waters with PPC, because getting on page one of Google doesn’t exactly pay off unless the people finding you convert into users/customers.

15. Jing

How it rates: 11/10

I love this tool. It’s awesomeness in a can. Ok this isn’t an SEO tool either, but it lets you take a screen shot and video of whatever’s going on your screen easily. After taking a screen shot, you can easily edit it, and after taking a video, you can easily edit it in Camtasia (another free to try program). You can also upload the screen shot/video online with one click and it puts the URL of the screen shot/video on your clip board. This way you can copy and paste it easily on Skype. This tool is really useful when showing outsourcers how to do a specific link building task.

10 SEO Tips You Must Know

In this post I am going to talk on few tips on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You may know some of these strategies already, because these are freely available in most SEO sites. But still you may not touch on these techniques. So do this today itself.

Let’s get in to the topic proper:

1. First thing I want to stress on you is content and products. You may think I am going to say the same story. Yes, because content is the most important to bring your blog up in the ladder. So don’t copy content from other blogs. Make your own content and update your blog regularly.

2. Next step is key words. You should add your key words within the first 20 -30 words in your post. This is very, very important. But make sure not to add key words without any mean. You should articulate those key words to few sentences.

3. Then add your key words evenly throughout your post. But make sure not to repeat those inappropriately. Other thing is don’t go behind highly competitive key words.

4. Add focused key words. You should focus your customer expectations in order to make your key word list. Then add those as I mentioned earlier.

5. Now it is the time to optimize your post with META Tags. Use different META tags for each post. Don’t fill your META tag with key words. Make your META description to describe your content clearly. Put key words only related to that particular post. I will show you how to add different META tags for each post in my future posts.

6. Next thing, once your visitor entered your blog he should feel that this is an important blog. And the blog should be attractive but the navigation should be easy. Your links should direct the person to the right content. So make your design more palatable to your readers.

7. Don’t make pages with dead ends. Every page should have links to a new article. Then visitor will retain on your blog for hours. Then he will remember your blog.

8. Make sure to submit all the pages of your blog to search engines. Whenever you see a free submission tool do it. But make sure not to spam too much. If they detect you as a spammer, they will block you forever.

9. I am reluctant to use most automated services, because they spam the search engines. So I prefer do it manually.

10. Always keep an eye on your competitor. And make your strategies according to your observations.

  • Mostly the Page Rank is considered as a major factor when buying or selling a site .
  • Calculated by Google itself which is major site that sends traffic to the web.

Successful Content Marketing 5 Great Tips

I am back with my new excellent post  "Tips About Successful Content Marketing" .The Small Business Administration recommends that entrepreneurs reach more customers by getting their business out on the Internet with different types of Web content , such as article, sales brochure, email autoresponders, and newsletters etc. When creating a content marketing plan for your business, use the following tips to increase your chances of success .

Consider your target audience :

If your company sells baby blankets and clothing , new and expecting mothers are your primary target audience . Ask yourself what types of information they are looking for and what phrases they might type into a search engine's when seeking information and products . An online tool for keyword research will provide you with a list of related phrase. These phrases can help you develop content ideas, and if you incorporate them into your content, they can also help drive traffic to your website or Blog.

The Aim for a mixture of keyword phrases with high and low search volumes for search engine optimization (SEO). Those who with low volumes are niche phrases, which are especially helpful for unique products and highly competitive markets.

Provide useful information :

Many of theWeb marketers make the mistake of creating content for search engines rather than human readers . Use keyword phrases as a general guide, but don’t overdo them. Instead, provide your website readers with valuable content to keep them on the page and entice them to return for more . One effective strategy is to publish informative content in addition to sales pages. For ex.. A company that sells yarn could publish knitting tutorials.

Comply with Internet marketing rules set by the Federal Trade Commission :

When you promoting a product or service , you want to highlight the benefits of the product and show your readers why it’s in their best interests to make a purchase. However, you must be careful with the claims you make in your content , especially for health product. The Bureau of Consumer Protection notes that claims must be substantiated and that marketing materials must be entirely truthful . If you plan to use testimonials and product reviews on your website to promote your company, use should also use actual reviews from your customers.

Publish professional content :

Whe ther you write your own Web content or hire others to write it for yo u, ensure that your material is well written and properly structured for Web readers . Typos, spelling mistakes, and grammatical errors in the content can harm a company’s image and send readers elsewhere for information and services. If you create your own content, consider hiring an editor or proofreader to check it over prior to while publishing. If you hire others to write for you , check their portfolios and the amount of experience they have with your type of content sincerely.

When you writing for Web readers, aim for short paragraphs and simple sentence s. Consider the visual appeal of your website as wel l. Certain fonts and color combinations can make your content difficult to read. If you re unsure about the layout , consult a Web designer for assistance.

Update your content frequently :

Try to a publish new content at least once per week , especially if you use a blog to market your products or services . Active websites appeal to both readers and search engines, and a large volume of content increases your chances of reaching more people . You dont necessarily have to put all the content on your own website. Consider publishing articles on e-zine websites, sending email newsletters to customers, and offering short e-books related to your companys products.

By the following these tips for content marketing, you can increase your website’s rank in the search engines and turn your website’s visitors into repeat customers.

Optimize Yours Site URL Structure - Guide

SEO Take Great Part to making a Website Or Blog. People creating Website,Blog without SEO theres site is not a great stuff. If You have to know about how to Optimize Yours Site URL's in the search engines now SEO is so important to keep in mind for all aspects of your site , from its body copy to its site map. Writing descriptive URLs is a great way to accomplish two things : making it easier for users to navigate your site , and making it easier to rank for the keywords you’re focusing on.

Be Descriptive and Concise :

Lets now assume you run a site about go karting in Santa Fe , and the Santa Fe Go-Kart Grand Prix is coming up in June . Naturally you will want to cover this in detail on your site, with regularly updated news, interviews with racers, or maybe a historical piece on the grand traditions of the Santa Fe Go-Kart Grand Prix itself. You could build a URL about general Santa Fe Go-Kart Grand Prix news like this:

http://www.your-site.com/news/06-2012...

But this doesnt tell your's visitors much about what the page is . To make things worse, this kind of URL structure is worthless for search engines. You’ve only used one keyword , “news,” followed by a date. I’m using “news” as a keyword very loosely here, because it doesn’t have any other keywords near it to clue users and search engines in on what kind of news the page contains. We can assume www.yours-site.com is something go-kart related , which is good for SEO, but this example URL could be doing quite a bit more for you.

For example, what if you wrote the URL like so:

http://www.your-site.com/go-kart-news/santa-fe-grand-prix

Now , Take a look at the keywords we are using here. Not only are visitors to your site going to have a better idea of where they are on your sit e, but search engines love descriptive site mapping . This example is using keywords in a smart ways : you aren’t overloading your URL structure with a ton of keywords and it is written in a logical way that describes what the topic and subtopic are about. Your site is about go-karting in Santa Fe, and the key terms used in this URL are much more valuable for SEO than a simple “news” topic with a date attached to the sub-topic.

Using key terms in your URL is a great SEO practice, but it is important not to go overboard. Try to keep your descriptions short and to the point. It’s better to write URLs in a way that acts as a map to information rather than stuffed full of keywords and search term variants. I wont say every URL needs to be under X amount of characters, but a good URL shouldnt be full of unrelated key words and phrases.

Things to Avoid When Writing URLs :

You  are using your URLs for site mapping and SEO off, so its also important not to load your descriptive URLs with “stop words.” Stop words are words that search engines consider insignificant or too common to be a worthwhile part of a search string . For ex., if you were to search for “where to go-kart in santa fe” search engines will ignore “where”, “to,” and “in.” You’re better off using your URLs for more unique, more valuable terms, like “go-kart” and “Santa Fe.” A search for “go-kart santa fe” will return very similar results to “where to go-kart in santa fe.” These are the words that directly relate to your website, and that’s what you need to focus on when writing URL's.
